Eastern Region Dressage Show 16th Nov’19

What a successful show today for myself and my riders, 5 wins and a 2nd out of 6 and nothing less than 65% across the board from trailblazers to PSG!

First up this morning was Marlton Enya, expertly ridden by Finn O’Gara in her first ever Elementary and a difficult one at that. However just as Enya is she strutted her stuff to her best and came away with the win and a solid 65.16%

Next out was Marlton Lennox, also ridden by Finn O’Gara who had his hands full this time. A string of testing circumstances left Lennox a bit tense and he allowed the tension to creep into some of his work. However his work coming very solid now and he stole the show with 70.37% and top spot in the Novice class.

Maybe the youngest but certainly not to be outdone by any manner or means, Marlton Rose and Sarah Curry stormed to an impressive victory in the Junior Trailblazers Preliminary and Novice classes with impressive scores of 71.54% in the prelim and 70.89% in the novice.

Finally it was the turn of the big boys to face off for the 1st time ever!

In what was only Saale Hit and Finn’s 2nd ever PSG they rode a super test and looked really secure at the level. Delighted for them to achieve a super solid score of 66.62%

Follow them was Let’s Go and Josephine, who have been working hard out of competition to strengthen themselves so as to be more secure at the level, and it really showed in the ring. Unfortunately a couple of costly mistakes due to the absences of ring time cost them in the marks, however really happy to come away with 67.50% knowing the higher marks are there without the mistakes.
