***SOLD***Marlton Scout aka Scout — 2013 – 155cm — Irish Bred

Bought from a field in May 2017, there was something about this little lady that I liked. With nothing done and the winter off, I took my time and restarted breaking her. Incredibly quick to catch on, always wanting to please she quickly became a real pleasure to work with, and my first breaker. Proving to be seemingly to easy working with her under saddle, she proved she was still a baby in hand and created a number of challenges initially starting off. A big baby definitely was the best way to describe her as her own shadow was always terrifying! As with all my horses I took my time with her, and she spent her few months doing a little bit of everything, but quickly proved that her raw talent lay on the flat as her confidence to jump was non existent. She competed in Dressage Ireland over the winter season, easily qualifying for the National Winter Finals in 2018, where she finished a credible 7th in the Cat 3 Preliminary Championship. Over the winter season, we made our showing debut with a clean sweep in the Cob class with four wins from four and picking up the Cob Championship and incredible comments from the judge at ease of riding and a disbelief that she was only 4yr! Proving to be a serious dressage contender, Scout and I successfully competed through Novice and Elementary in Ireland and the UK and over the Summer of 2018 we have qualified for Area Festivals at both Novice & Elementary level in the UK.

Following her success with me, I have handed the ride to a talented young pony rider, Molly who has always had a love of the mare and the bond between the two is incredible, given the short time they have been together. Already qualified for the National Dressage Championships at Preliminary and Novice level for 2018, the pair have had some incredble results, and percentages in the high 70's. Most notably the pair took the Prelim and Novice Cat 1 Championships and the Novice Music Championship at the Spruce Lodge Classic in early August. The pair have a very bright future together, and I'm very excited to see how far they can go. Cob's can do dressage!

Delighted to be a part of Scout's future career as she stays in the yard and develops under my eye with Barbara :)
